This event will be a prelude to the grand opening of the college's new digital media and performing arts center, which will launch in the fall of 2008. The event will allow the college to showcase the media and performing arts accomplishments of current and former students. It will also coincide with the 30th anniversary of the founding of the division's "Celebration of the Humanities" – the college's student fine-arts competition.
The free event will take place at the Mary Stuart Rogers Student Learning Center on the MJC west campus, 2201 Blue Gum Avenue. Festivities begin at 12PM with the first of three showings of the space saga, Star Wars. Doors open at 11:30AM. Seating at all screenings and presentations will be on a "first-come, first-served" basis. The final event of the evening will be the last showing of Star Wars at 8PM.
Also, you'll have a chance to meet and talk with MJC Alumni who have made it in the business!
