The Lucas Museum of Modesto
It is the hope of organizers that the exploration of the life and works of George Lucas does not end on June 2nd. Recently, many have considered the possibility of founding a museum in Modesto dedicated to our city’s most famous son. Such a venue would serve the public as a place to preserve and interpret material related to Lucas’s influential younger years, local “Graffiti” culture and the film American Graffiti, as well as Lucas’s larger body of films and historic innovations. A “Lucas Museum of Modesto” would no doubt be an outstanding addition to our local heritage industry.
